This is the Brabus Tesla Model S
Famous Mercedes tuner turns its talents to pimping up the Tesla Model S
Brabus is a name synonymous with Mercedes-Benz, thanks to nearly 40 years of modifying its (and offshoot Smart’s) products. Something that originates from neither brand really stands out in the Brabus range, then, and so it proves with this Tesla Model S, displayed at the Geneva motor show.
If any car on the planet didn’t need more power, it’s the Model S, with its self-proclaimed ludicrous performance. So the Brabus take on things has ignored its electric drivetrain completely, instead focussing on a pimped-out exterior and an utterly posh interior.
Outside, the highlights are its humongous 21in alloy wheels and some pleasingly subtle carbon additions, its diffuser and front and rear spoilers the highlights.
The most exciting stuff happens inside, though; there are ultra plush leather seats, available - to quote Brabus - in “unusual and outrageous” colours, as well as a new centre console unit.
It’s an extension of Tesla’s tech-heavy interior setup, with a pair of inductive phone chargers and cupholders that will warm or chill your drink. Perfect for keeping your morning brew nice and hot on the way to work.
Everything else is as you were, so if you go for full P90D spec, your Brabus Model S has 762bhp and a 3.2-second 0-62mph time. Yikes.
Price? It depends entirely on you and how expensive your tastes are. Brabus says it "places no limits on your imagination" when it comes to speccing up your modded Model S...
