More delays than the 'high-speed' London to Manchester line, more false dawns than Manchester City football club, the prolonged genesis of Gran Turismo 5 has been - it's fair to say - somewhat fraught.

But who cares, because it's finally out today. And as widely reported, the Top Gear track is in it.

Unbelievably, today is also the day the office PS3 has decided not to work, somewhat thwarting our plans to spend all day perfecting the Hammerhead in the wet in an under-steering front-wheel-drive nail.
