Year of the bull: Lambo on course to smash sales records in 2015
Introduction of Huracan helping Lamborghini to its most successful year ever
Lamborghini has already confirmed it’ll unveil the roadster version of its Huracan supercar at this week’s Frankfurt motor show. But even without a screaming V10 convertible in its line-up, Italy maddest manufacturer is doing pretty darn well, thank you very much.
In an interview with Reuters, Sant’Agata CEO Stephan Winkelmann has revealed 2015 is on course to become the biggest year in the firm’s 52-year history, with sales expected to top 2014’s record of 2,530 cars as early as this month.
“We believe we will conclude the 2015 business year in a better way than the previous year,” stated Winkelmann.
Such a sales boost is thanks, in the most part, to the introduction of the Huracan coupe, which replaced the ageing Gallardo. Winkelmann announced that sales in the lightly troubled economy of China had remained flat year-on-year, with Lambo’s growth coming from other global markets.
