Frankfurt Motor Show

Someone has built a six-wheeled, stretch Smart limousine

Meet the ‘MadeForSix’: an 18ft, six-wheeled modified Smart headed for the Frankfurt Motor Show

Published: 14 Sep 2015

Want a long-wheelbase car from the Daimler stable but can’t quite stretch to an S-Class? Then allow us to present this six-wheeled, 18ft long stretch Smart.

Yes, this is an actual Thing. It’s an actual Thing that’ll be unveiled at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show under the title ‘MadeForSix’. German tuner Limouzine is responsible, if you want somewhere to direct your enquiries.

We understand this ‘MadeForSix’ is 18ft long – about a foot longer than an S-Class and a foot shy of a Rolls-Royce Phantom – and is capable of housing six human beings (including a driver) of moderate size.

You’ll spot there are six wheels, a normal set of front doors and gullwing-style doors in the middle allowing access to that now-spacious interior. Judging by this teaser video, there are some lavish interior appointments befitting a car of this stature.

Though there’s no word on an engine package, the exhaust noise suggests something may have been modified to accommodate the extra length and weight. Sadly, it doesn’t sound like the S63’s 5.5-litre V8, but we live in perennial hope.

Either way, we’ll find out for you and report back. For now, let us know your innermost thoughts below...
