This is the Renault Talisman Estate. And we’re not getting it in the UK

This is the new Renault Talisman Estate. It will be unveiled at the upcoming Frankfurt motor show, and if you live in the UK, you will not be able to purchase it.
 
Which is a shame, because like the saloon it follows – which was revealed last month – it’s rather nice. It replaces the Laguna estate, naturally, and sits on the same architecture as the Talisman saloon.
 
In fact, it’s exactly the same size as the saloon – 4.8m long, 1.87m wide and 1.46m high – but with that added space at the back. By waving your foot under the rear bumper, you can automatically open-up many litres of storage space.
 
It will also come with a choice of two petrol engines and three diesels, a raft of driving aids, adaptive dampers, four-wheel-steering, lots of space inside and even massaging seats.
 
But of course, none of this matters if you are in the UK, because “there are no current plans for the car to be produced in right hand drive or sold in the UK”. Thank the lack of success of the last Laguna - as detailed here - for that.
