Ford Transit news - Ford shows off new Transit - 2006
Big news for builders is the arrival of the new Ford Transit at the Commercial Vehicle Show.
The UK's favourite van has a new look at the front and rear, while in-between there's a choice of 60 body types.
Other new features include anti-lock brakes as standard, a dashboard-mounted gearshift and a remote locking ignition key that charges as you drive along.
An option that may not be so popular is satellite navigation, because your plumber will not be able to claim your house is tricky to find to explain his three-day lateness.
Visitors to the Commercial Vehicle Show at Birmingham's NEC on April 25-27 will also get a preview of the new Ford Ranger pick-up, which goes on sale in September.
