These 567bhp Jaguar F-Types celebrate 60 years of the E-Type

Ready your ‘Special Edition’ bingo cards, as Jaguar has rolled out the Sherwood Green paint job and exclusive leather trim for this rather delightful Jaguar F-Type.

Welcome then, to the Jaguar F-Type ‘Heritage 60 Edition’, celebrating a whopping milestone: 60 years of the gorgeous E-Type, no less.

You can check off ‘limited production’ on your cards, too, because just 60 of these F-Types will be built, available in either Coupe or Convertible. Each features that green paint – a colour that hasn’t been used on a new Jag since the Sixties – and ‘Caraway and Ebony Windsor’ interior leather trim.

This limited edition is based on the new-for-2020 F-Type R, and thus each car comes equipped with a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 kicking out 567bhp and 516lb ft of torque. The updated Rs are only available in all-wheel drive, Jaguar reckons you’ll hit 62mph from rest in just 3.7secs (0-60mph in 3.5secs). Its top speed sits at 186mph.

There are new dampers, anti-roll bars and rear suspension knuckles for the R, and thus for this Heritage Edition, while elsewhere inside you get an aluminium console finisher ‘inspired by the E-Type’s rear-view mirror casing’, and the all-important 60th anniversary logo on the headrests. A nice little touch is the E-Type 60 badging shared with the E-Type 60 Collection cars we saw earlier this year.

Wheels? Diamond-turned 20in forged alloys. Calipers? Black. Accents? Gloss black and chrome. Price? Well, that’s a cool £122,500. Considerably more than a ‘regular’ F-Type R, if an F-Type R can ever be called ‘regular’.
