Subaru is building 500 of these pearly purple BRZs, priced at $35,445 each
You’ll get a minor suspension tweak and a short throw shifter for the six-speed manual too
Wanting a BRZ in a very specific shade of ‘Galaxy Purple Pearl’ but don’t fancy wrapping (and botching) it yourself? Subaru will now create 500 examples of just that, dubbed the ‘Series.Purple’, and it looks rather lovely.
Customers will also get thin-spoked 18in alloys finished in satin silver and black badging. Wonderful spec for a sports car, no?
The interior, meanwhile, gains increased used of grey stitching, black suede performance seats as standard and an upgraded audio kit that features more speakers and a better amplifier.
Mechanically, the BRZ’s 228bhp/184lb ft 2.4-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine remains untouched, although there's a short throw shifter for the six-speed manual transmission and an STI-spec knob. Subaru has also thrown in an extra anti-roll bar up front, while there's already a Torsen limited-slip diff and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.
The Series.Purple will land in US showrooms early next year alongside the rest of the 2025 BRZ range, and will be priced at $35,445. Or you could just buy a used one and apply some purple paint yourself… but we’ll leave that decision to you.
