The new Jeep Compass is arriving next year with both ICE and EV power

And lots of typically robust styling language, as per the teaser image

Published: 07 Oct 2024

Jeep’s third-generation Compass will land in Europe next year (and 2026 in the U.S.), adopting Stellantis’ STLA mid-sized platform and offering various powertrain options.

It’s also confirmed to be getting four-wheel drive across the lineup, powered by a traditional petrol/diesel engine, an all-electric set-up and a combination of the two. Specific outputs are yet to be confirmed.

But for some comparison, its smaller Avenger sibling can currently be had as a 101bhp/151lb petrol, a hybrid with similar numbers, or a 158bhp/192lb ft full-electric car with 248 miles of range and a 24-minute recharge time from 20-80 per cent.

The teaser sketch... doesn't show us much, to be honest. There are whispers of Avenger in there. A flash of a headlight outline. A trace of a let's say 'robust' silhouette. Beefy wheel arches.

No word on prices just yet, but consider the predecessor’s hybrid version cost around £34,000 for some, er, compass on cost.
