Is this Lamborghini's hardcore Huracan?
Bewinged, camo'd Lamborghini spotted hooning around the Nürburgring. Looks pointy
Let's just take a moment to look at the Lamborghini prototype in the pictures above before we begin some moderately educated - but ultimately pointless - speculation. Because it looks properly banzai.
This, ladies and gentlemen of the Internet, is what we believe to be the upcoming Lamborghini Huracan 'Superleggera', here spotted undergoing vigorous testing at the Nürburgring. Naturally.
Why a Superleggera? Because wing. Just look at it. It's quite magnificent. It sits atop a pair of centrally mounted exhausts, while up front, there's a completely redesigned apron. All in the name of downforce, you see.
If we use the template of the previous baby Superleggera - the Gallardo - expect a small power bump from the Huracan's 5.2-litre, 602bhp V10, along with a significant weight reduction (the Gallardo shed 100kg for its Superleggera version), and much carbon fibre dotted in and outside that wild body. Lamborghini loves its carbon, as you'll have witnessed by the excellent Sesto Elemento.
It'll still be four-wheel driven - we guess - but with less weight and stickier tyres, should hit 62mph quicker than the standard Huracan's 3.2secs. Also, we suspect there might be a few new badges and some Alcantara for the inside.
We'll have more as soon as we hear more, so stay tuned. In the meantime, join in the guessing game in the comments below...
