The Huracan STJ is Lamborghini’s farewell to its V10 supercar

More aero, new shock absorbers and stickier tyres headline the changes for this loud-liveried limited edition

Published: 10 Apr 2024

The day has finally come: after 10 years and over 20,000 units sold, Lamborghini will wave goodbye to the Huracan with a new ‘STJ’ trim. Based on the already mad rear-wheel drive STO, this one will be limited to just 10 units and feature a sprinkling of motorsport-inspired changes.

Though not obvious, the body kit has been revised with a lightly remodelled front splitter and a pair of canards for added drama. The rear wing has then been repositioned to provide even more of that aero thingamabob people can’t stop banging on about these days.

On to the mechanicals, where a new set of racing shock absorbers allow further adjustability for keen drivers and a guaranteed conversational gem*. Those new shocks will sit just behind a new set of Bridgestone Potenza tyres, which wrap around 20in alloys. They’re also held in place by a single nut, which should make trips to the local tyre shop even quicker.

And despite the naturally aspirated V10 remaining untouched (630bhp, 417lb ft), these small changes have allowed the STJ to lap the Nardo handling circuit a full second quicker than its donor car. See, power isn’t everything, and all that.

Let’s wrap up with that livery choice, which features a Blu Eliadi exterior finish, supplemented by black, red and white accents throughout. Aside from the new red stitching across the Alcantara seats, the interior remains mostly the same.

Pricing is yet to be revealed, but given the STO starts at £260,000, coupled with the sheer exclusivity of this swansong, expect the number to stretch beyond that.
