Here's your first look at the new Citroen C3 Aircross

Citroen reveals newly shaped compact SUV ahead of summer launch

Published: 18 Apr 2024

Citroen has shared the first images of the revamped C3 Aircross. The model's been suitably electrified and box-ified ahead of going on sale later this year.

Though not quite as square as the Citroen Oli on which the design language is based, the C3 Aircross is... bold. Citroen prefers to call the redesign ‘tough, muscular and robust’.

It’s got a revised oval logo containing those famous chevrons on the squared-off front end. There are slim headlights flanking the sleek new grille design, too, and the next-gen C3 Aircross gets more length, extending to 4.39m (up from 4.15m). That means it’s now capable of being a seven-seater, and fun irrelevant fact – that's almost double the capacity of the four-seater Oli concept.

We’re also told the C3 Aircross is plenty customisable with its two-tone colour palette and clips on the front and three-quarter panel.

The introduction of the e-C3 Aircross model introduces a 100 per cent electric powertrain to a range already offering petrol and mild hybrid choices. They all share the same Smart Car platform, so that was a no-brainer.

Inside, Citroen says there’s plenty of space and ‘tricks’ for families to make practical use of the space. We’re expecting more info later in the year when the thing actually launches.
