Fancy a 710bhp BMW M3 CS? G-Power has just such a thing
Dubbed the ‘G3M CS Bi-Turbo’, it features a new exhaust system, fettled ECU and many exterior embellishments
There is an argument to be made that the world’s best super saloons are now actually evolving into hyper saloons, particularly with tuners like G-Power giving the G80 M3 CS around 80bhp more than the Lamborghini Huracan STO.
Wait, what? Yep, now dubbed the ‘G3M CS Bi-Turbo’, the 3.0-litre six-cylinder power plant has been upped from 542 to 710bhp, while the torque now sits well above the 620lb ft mark. Ludicrous for a four-door family car, no?
The power boost has been achieved with several big mechanical changes, including a dialled-up exhaust system and upgraded catalytic converters, while the ECU has also been fiddled with.
G-Power hasn’t yet stated just how much time has been shaved off the original 3.2s run to 62mph, but the signs point toward a sub-three-second time at the very least. The standard top speed of 180mph should also see a notable jump, given that another of the German tuner's G80 M3 packages bumps it up to, *clears throat*, 205mph.
And just so the world knows that this isn’t yer average M3 CS, there’s a full suite of new wings and inlets for proof. We’d also suspect the suspension’s been dropped a few millimetres, while the unpainted carbon bonnet adds further pantomime to what is supposed to be a fairly serious car.
No word on pricing or conversion numbers just yet, but what say you to a 700bhp+ M3?
