This is a Le Mans-inspired Peugeot Expert Sport van, yours from £51k

Because who doesn’t want motorsport vinyls and a rear wing on their load-lugger?

Ever wondered what the Peugeot 9X8 would look like if it lost the chiselled cheekbones and gained some weight? No, us neither. But we’ve got an answer for you anyway: it'd look like this Expert Sport van, which wears an identical livery to the Le Mans competitor.

But that’s not all. 9 ‘XL’ 8 here has a new front lip and mudguards to give those steely eyes even more attitude. There’s a proper rear wing back there too, and 18in twin-spoke alloys cloaked in Nankang rubber. They’re non-slicks, just to confirm.

The interior remains much the same as an original ‘Asphalt’ trim Expert, with the exception being extra badging and matching yellow stitching on the eco-leather seats. That means the 10in infotainment screen remains, as does the ChatGPT-integrated voice control.

It also comes as standard with the Comfort Pack, which adds smartphone charging and dual-zone climate control, plus the Winter Pack, meaning a heated driver’s seat and steering wheel.

The powertrain lineup is pretty simple too. There’s a 183bhp turbo-diesel four-pot, or a 75kWh battery and 134bhp e-motor pairing, good for up to 209 miles of all-electric travel.

The 9XL8 starts at just over £51,000 for the entry-level Sport Panel body type. Far less than what it’d cost to get an actual 9X8 on the road, we’re guessing.
