Fiat 500 news - The new baby Ferrari? - 2008
Ferrari has just unveiled its all-new entry level model.
Powered by a 1.4-litre 100bhp engine, the baby Ferrari boasts seating for four and is finished in traditional Rosso Corsa red.
Oh ok, we're stratching the truth a bit, but you can get this at Ferrari garages.
Y'see, this is, as those of you with eyes will have spotted, a Fiat 500, and 60 of which will be used by the Ferrari UK dealer network for use as courtesy cars.
They're not quite stock, either. The Cinqs have been customised for Ferrari, and get 'special tuning and exhaust in harmony with the sporting spirit of the Prancing Horse', as well as red brake callipers, leather trim and a tiny V8 under the bonnet. Not really.
Sadly, the only way you'll get to drive the Ferrari 500 is if your 430/599/612 breaks down.
Clouds, silver linings and all that...
But on the other hand, if you did manage to get hold of one, people who knew would think that you owned a Ferrari, just one that was having some work done.
