The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer will arrive in 2024
VW has confirmed that an all-electric estate is coming next year. Great news for big boot fans
Maybe the estate car isn’t dead just yet. Internet, say hello to the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer.
Well, say a tentative hello, because this is our very first look at the all-electric estate and it’s still wearing its full camouflage suit. It’s not like there’s a huge amount to hide though, this car was previewed by the ID. Space Vizzion concept in 2019 and will essentially be an ID.7 saloon with a bigger boot.
We’re rather excited though, not least because the Tourer won’t have too many rivals in the EV estate market when it arrives at some point in 2024.
We don’t have any Tourer-specific details just yet, but the ID.7 saloon claims 435 miles of range on a single charge when equipped with the larger 86kWh battery. It also gets a 282bhp motor, up to 200kW rapid charging and a 15-inch touchscreen at the centre of its dash.
Really we’re all just waiting for the one all-important figure though, aren’t we? Come on VW – tell us how much boot space it’ll have…
