This is a proper track-prepped version of the mini Ferrari Testa Rossa J
The Little Car Company’s teeny Testa Rossa gets more power, adjustable dampers, racing harnesses and a rollhoop
This is not a toy. Well, it is and it isn’t. This is The Little Car Company’s special edition ‘Pacco Gara’ Ferrari Testa Rossa J, and it’s rather serious indeed.
See, if your Italian is up to scratch you’ll already know that Pacco Gara translates to ‘race pack’, and that should give you some sense of the upgrades applied to this 75 per cent scale recreation of the iconic Scaglietti-bodied Le Mans-winner.
The standard TLCC Testa Rossa J makes 16bhp from its little electric motor, and that’s a car (well, kind of a car) that TG very much fell in love with. Heck, we even used it to set an electric lap record of Ferrari’s own Fiorano test track. Wonder how long that’ll stay standing for?
For the Pacco Gara, though, a software update means it’s now pumping out a whole 19bhp, while a quicker ratio steering rack, actual adjustable dampers and drilled brake discs mean it should corner and stop better too. It genuinely has been designed to be track-ready, even if that track is just dreamt up in your (presumably massive) back garden.
There’s no word on price, actually, but the standard Testa Rossa J starts at €93,000, so expect this special edition to be well into six figures. Yikes.
Still, those aren’t the only upgrades that come with the Pacco Gara – you also get a removable racing rollhoop, Sabelt racing harnesses, a brake bias adjuster, period-correct spotlights in the grille and a driver’s side exterior mirror to see who you’ve just overtaken.
Quite brilliant, no?
