The Peugeot e-208 now has more range thanks to the new e-308

And it’s getting more power too. Hurrah! New e-308 allows for improvements to its smaller sibling

Published: 29 Sep 2022

Peugeot has announced that from next year the e-208 will improve its vital statistics thanks to some tech borrowed from its new e-308 sibling. The big one will be range, with a new and more efficient 51kWh battery being plumbed in to up range from 225 to 248 miles.

That’ll be combined with exactly the same motor as found in the e-308, raising the e-208’s power from 136bhp to 156bhp.

“Efficiency was the priority for this new powertrain,” says Peugeot, meaning you should see larger miles per kWh figures from 2023 e-208s too. Fast charging will remain capped at 100kW, but that does allow for a 20-80 per cent charge in less than 25 minutes.
