Caterham's new 'lightweight' electric coupe will be revealed on 12 July
All-electric Project V will be like nothing else the brand has done before
The hotly awaited reveal of Caterham’s Project V is imminent. Accompanied by another shadowy teaser – this time looking at the front and rear directly – the brand tells us the big announcement will be on 12 July, then it'll make its debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Built by Italdesign, Project V promises to be a fully electric sports coupe. A vision created by Caterham's chief designer Anthony Jannarelly, the build will be completed in Italdesign’s Turin headquarters.
We’ve only seen a side profile shadowy teaser before now, but it’s clear that the design is already a massive departure from the kind of Seven creations we’re used to seeing. The brand assures us, however, that Project V will still be a Caterham-typical mix of lightweight, simple and driver-centric fun.
Caterham has had a busy 2023. It turned 50, and recently unveiled an electric prototype of the Seven. More as we have it...
