The all-electric Cupra Raval supermini is coming in 2026
It’ll be built alongside the VW ID.2 and Skoda Epiq
The Cupra Raval is going into production in 2026. That’s the entry-level electric supermini that started out as the Cupra UrbanRebel Concept.
The production version (quite rightly) renamed to Raval for brevity will be built on VW’s MEB short platform, and share architecture with the forthcoming VW ID.2 and Skoda Epiq.
There's likely to be a choice of two battery sizes: 38kWh and 56kWh, just like the ID.2. They'll power a 222bhp electric motor on the front axle, taking the supermini from 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds. We're also told there'll be as many as 273 miles in the rangier version of the thing, though beyond that specs are few and far between.
As expected, the Raval's styling has been toned down since the UrbanRebel Concept days, at least for the standard model. It’s not a total ‘adios’ to that lowered front end and aggressive rear wing, though – the OG design makes an appearance in Forza Horizon 5. Alternatively, hold out for the performance variant we're hoping will arrive too.
Price-wise, the VW ID.2 is tipped to cost less than £25,000, but it’s suspected the Cupra Raval will be a smidge higher. More as we get it.
