  • Light a candle, burn some incense, jump gleefully or just cry - whatever your thoughts, the Dodge Viper is coming to an end.

Well, sort of. To celebrate the final production year of the current generation Viper, Dodge is building a limited run of just 50 SRT-10 ‘Final Edition' models.

  • Each Final Edition Viper features a Graphite clear coat body with a black and red centre stripe, while the interior gets the same level of one-upmanship thanks to red stitching and red halo dial surrounds.

You also get a numbered dash plaque (1-50) to show which one you have, along with the Viper's standard ‘certificate of rear-wheel-drive insanity' which comes with every purchase. Not really.

  • The ACR (American Club Racer) Final Edition Vipers will come with 5 spoke ‘Sidewinder' wheels in black, while the coupe and drop-top versions will wear anthracite six-spokers.

The engine - an 8.4-litre V10 - remains the same. But with 600bhp, a 0-60mph time of less than four seconds and a top speed of 202mph, you'd need to be a few olives short of a pizza to care. Or one scout short of a posse. Or a sausage short of a barbeque. Or...well, you get the picture.

  • As a leaving do, we'd say the Final Edition is pretty sweet.

And to show you how much we love the Viper, we've pulled together some more pics of one of the most iconic American mentalist machines of our time. The madness! Oh the madness!
