Toyota Hybrid news - Geneva show: Toyota Hybrid X and FT-HS - 2007
Toyota has gone hybrid-happy this year.
As well as giving us another chance to see the striking FT-HS hybrid sports car that made its first appearance in Detroit, the Japanese manufacturer also unveiled the Hybrid X.
Described as a hybrid concept with 'a new design language for Toyota', the Hybrid X also serves as a showcase for future hybrid technology.
We guess you'd call it a coupe-estate crossover, and it's certainly an original design.
With suicide doors, aero wheels and crazy sculpted seats, the Hybrid X is proper high concept stuff.
However, there might be a few more down-to-earth clues about the future of Toyota styling lurking in there somewhere - witness the smooth, grill-free nose and exaggerated Prius-styling of the rear.
And just in case you've forgetten why we got so excited about the FT-HS back in January, let us remind you of a few figures.
Toyota says that the hybrid sports car is powered by a 3.5-litre V6 putting out approximately 400bhp through the rear wheels. That should be good for a 0-60mph time in the four second bracket... and apparently it'll even be affordable - should it ever make it to production.
