TopGear.com reader renders new Supra

…using inspiration from the Toyota Prius. Thankfully, it looks nothing like a Prius

  • TopGear.com Internetter Andreas Fougner is growing tired of the when-are-they-going-to-build-it dance of the FT-86 Toyobaru sportscar. He has imagined what the fifth-generation Toyota Supra should look like. By looking at the Prius.

"Naturally, I had to look at Toyota's line-up today to make it feel like an authentic Toyota product", he told TopGear.com. In spite of the eco-warrior's influence, Andreas wanted to keep the DNA of the Mk IV Supra; that famous bug-eyed, twin-turbo 3.0-litre hero of the 90s capable of embarrassing more expensive machinery.

"I picked the Supra because it is a widely popular car which hasn't seen an update for a long time", says Andreas. Whether the upcoming FT-86 is the spiritual heir to the classic AE86 Corolla or indeed, the Supra, doesn't matter. We can't wait for it to happen. In the meantime, have a click through the pics and see what you think...
