Meet Harrison Ford’s digital Audi
This Audi concept exists in much the same way Indiana Jones or Han Solo exist: it's not actually a real thing. It's a movie car, rendered for Harrison Ford's new sci-fi epic Enders Game.
How so? Audi provided an A7 Sportback for Dr Jones - sorry, Harrison - to drive in the actual movie, then applied digital witchery in post-production to transform the hatchback into the HarrisonPod you see above.
The ‘fleet shuttle Quattro' was modeled entirely on a computer by Digital Domain, a special effects company in Vancouver, though for the actual red carpet premiere, with an actual Harrison Ford on hand, Audi built a 1:4 illuminated scale model.
"We have created a car for a world in about 75 years," explains Enders Game director Gavin Hood. Which means this is how the MkXII Audi A7 Sportback might look. Might. Once you're done with the pics, click this link to hear some Germans explain the design process...
