Here are the Geneva stars you need to know about

New Lambo and Bugatti Chiron spearhead a stellar show. Here’s your quick guide

  • Bugatti Chiron

    How to top the Veyron? Like this. It’s the Chiron, a 1,479bhp leviathan that becomes Bugatti’s new super sports car. It’s biblically fast, as you would expect: an 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 powers the Chiron’s four-wheels to 62mph in under 2.5 seconds. That’s right, sub-2.5s.

    Top speed? 261mph, limited for safety, but capable of hitting over 270mph with the chains taken off. Sheesh.

  • Lamborghini Centenario

    Let’s be perfectly honest: a world without Lamborghini would be a very dull world. The Centenario is perfect proof: a limited edition coupe that becomes the most powerful production Lamborghini ever built.

  • Aston Martin DB11

    Ladies and Gentlemen, the new generation of Aston Martin has arrived. The new DB11 is a line in the sand for a resurgent AM, and we’re rather excited. The new DB11 gets an all-new bonded aluminium chassis and a brand new, 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12.

    Headline stats? 0-62mph in 3.9s, 600bhp and a top speed of 200mph.

    Yes, the more fun-focused version of Fiat’s Spider. And doesn’t it look mighty?

    Power from the 1.4-litre turbo rises to 178bhp, along with more focused suspension and a limited slip diff as standard.

  • Koenigsegg Regera

    We saw the concept Regera – with a more powerful powertrain – last year. For 2016, we get the final, real production version. Koenigsegg has upped his game with his 1,500bhp ‘direct-drive’ enabled Regera, and the results are spectacular.

    That power is sent through a revolutionary type of transmission system and capable of propelling the Regera from 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of at least 249mph.

  • Ferrari GTC4Lusso

    An updated version of the rather lovely FF, packing Ferrari’s current tech marvels. Four-wheel-drive, rear-wheel steering (from the F12tdf), and an evolution of the Side Slip Control seen on the 488 GTB.

    Power is up, too, to 680bhp, meaning you’ll get from 0-62mph in just 3.4s.

    Finally, the new Maserati SUV. You can decide for yourself about the looks, while Maserati promises us it’ll provide “unrivalled handling even on very low-grip surfaces”.

  • DS E-Tense

    This is more than just a concept. DS – Citroen’s luxury offshoot – told TG that the stunning E-Tense concept (internally codenamed GT17) previews a future performance GT. It’ll form part of a six-model DS line-up in the future, which will also likely include a luxury crossover/SUV too.

    The Geneva show car then, is a properly built, fully-working performance concept. It’s powered by an e-motor and lithium ion batteries producing 396bhp, and is capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
