“Tony doesn’t consider himself just an owner of Ferraris,” auction house Gooding & Co tells us, “but rather a caretaker, maintaining them for their historic value.”
Certainly beats sweeping up the garden leaves at the local secondary school. The following pages, dear readers, contain pictures of some considerable excellence, displaying as they do Tony Shooshani’s collection of Ferraris.
Mr Shooshani then, deserves a bit of introduction. He’s a Ferrari collector – that much is probably quite obvious – who enjoys actually driving his cars. A longtime Ferrari client, he’s driven his 1985 288 GTO in a few rallies, and uses his 599XX Evo in Ferrari’s Corse Cliente programme.
He’s also got a tailor-made LaFerrari, and owns one of the six Ferrari Sergios. Safe to say the man knows his way around a Prancing Horse.
Now, Mr Shooshani is putting eight of his pristine Ferraris up for auction in Gooding’s Scottsdale Auction, which takes place between January 29-30. They’re worth millions. They’re also gorgeous.
Here they are.

Estimated to sell for up to $2.9m, this particular car was on display at the ’95 Geneva Motor Show. It’s covered just 1,100 miles since new, and of course, is one of 349 F50s ever built. Oh, and you get a rather delightful F1-derived V12.
1990 Ferrari F40
It has twin turbos, a V8, much carbon fibre and a top speed of over 200mph. It’s an F40, and therefore requires no further introduction. Gooding reckons this 3,600-mile exotic will sell for $1.6m.

This, the LaFerrari’s 660bhp predecessor, has covered just 2,600 miles, and bears the signature of former Pininfarina designer Ken Okuyama. 0-60mph? 3.3s, if you’re wondering. Yours for $2.8m.
1960 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Cabriolet
One of the world’s most desirable cars, and one of the auction world’s most popular sales, this 250 was on display in 2000 at Pebble Beach. The price? An estimated tag of $2.3m.
1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso
This car is number 275 of 350 GT Lussos built, was recently restored to concours-quality, and earned first in class at last year’s Arizona Concours. It’s estimated to sell for $2.5m.
1969 Ferrari Dino 206 GT
This Dino, chassis number 00378, is the 140th of 153 cars made, and is said to have been ‘well kept’. $800,000, and you can continue the preservation.

A.J Foyt used to own this particular 512, so not only do you get a lovely V12, but also a piece of American provenance. If all goes to plan, it’ll achieve up to $475,000.
1988 Ferrari 328 GTS
Since 1988, this 328 has covered just 15,000 miles from new. It also boasts all paperwork and tools. $150,000.
Which one takes your fancy?
