Can you name all these rare Porsches for sale?
Test your knowledge with Top Gear's 13-part Porschephile challenge
Let’s face it – it’s been cool to be a nerd for a while now. And, while knowing the unique position of the oil filler cap on the 1972 911 is a bit of a niche skill, with appropriately low levels of cool, that makes it no less important to true fans of the brand – and a fairly rudimentary task for a true Porsche lover.
So, Porschephiles of Top Gear, can you name these 13 classic Porsches? We’re looking for specifics, here – it’s no good just saying ‘911’ and hoping for the best. You’ll need to know the difference between a 964 and a 996 to score well, and an almost pathological knowledge to get all 13. Keen to crack on? Let’s do it then.

So, how did you do? If you missed a couple, it's probably worth checking out why these cars are so important. If you got 13/13, it’s probably time to put your money where your mouth is – each of these cars is up for grabs at RM Sotheby’s upcoming auction, just over the channel in Paris.
