The Bentley Mulsanne First Edition is quite opulent
Buyers of limited-run Mulsanne can spec a 'luxuriously weighted' comb. Yes, really
This is the Bentley Mulsanne First Edition, and as you can see it is incredibly, erm, brown. Thankfully, it is also incredibly opulent.
Just 50 will be built – not all brown, thankfully – split between the standard car, the Speed and Extended Wheelbase. This one’s the latter, which means it gets an extra 250mm of legroom and airline-style seats with extending footrests, plus a pair of Android tablets and curtains. Obviously.
Besides the many First Edition badges littered throughout the cabin, buyers can specify a “luxuriously weighted” sterling silver vanity kit (made by Asprey of London, and embedded in one of the picnic tables) and a champagne cooler.
This particular Mulsanne also has special Fulbeck veneers, from a 350-year-old English walnut tree sold for a “record price” at auction. Regular First Edition Mulsannes can be had with special Antique Ash veneers.
Fancy one? It’ll almost certainly cost you. We'll see it in the flesh for the first time at this week's Beijing motor show.
