Run The Coast - America meets the Polaris Slingshot!

Over 1,200 miles, four cities, three wheels, and some very special guests…

Published: 21 Sep 2015

When planning your dream road trip, certain things are essential. Long, twisting, empty roads are a given. Stunning scenery. A few cities to recharge the batteries. A decent sound system. At least two seats (nobody wants to road trip alone). Great weather with, ideally, no roof to get in the way. Plus the chance to meet some interesting people as you travel.

Which is why, this summer, Polaris put together Run The Coast. A whirlwind drive from LA to Seattle, covering over 1200 miles on some of the best and most iconic driving roads in the world. Ten high-adrenaline days taking in the sights, sounds and smells, the ride, and the reactions of everyone along the way.

And the transport? The three-wheeled Polaris Slingshot. A bike, and a bike like no other. Three wheels, two seats side-by-side, no roof, close to the ground, a radio, and the center of attention wherever it goes. Whether drifting at the hands of a world champion at Willow Springs, heading up into the mountains around LA, cruising the incredible coast roads of Big Sur, stopping for a donut in Portland or negotiating the steep streets of San Francisco, an audience is pretty much guaranteed.

So stay tuned over the coming weeks to see what happened next, as America meets the Polaris Slingshot. As you'll see from the preview above, it’s quite a trip…
