How Ford is helping drivers to go electric with confidence
From free home chargers* and an energy deal with Octopus to an eight-year battery warranty††, the manufacturer is delivering big on its Power Promise
As millions of us around the country are now aware, choosing an EV is just half the equation, as making the switch to electric involves many other considerations beyond the four wheels.
How will you charge it at home? How much will that cost? Will you get caught with a flat battery while out and about? Ford knows just how many questions surround EV ownership, particularly for the uninitiated.
Up to 70% off home charging***
From the get-go, Ford will offer you a range of optional home chargers installed alongside your vehicle arrival, through ChargeGuru in Northern Ireland and for free with Octopus Energy in Great Britain.
Once you’re set up, it’s time to watch the savings roll in. Not only will you never have to pay at the pump again, but you could save 70% of your charging costs with the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff from Octopus Energy in tandem with Ford Dynamic Charging.
Your Ford will automatically charge at the most cost-effective times, but if you have somewhere to be and want to optimise your charge time, you’re in full control of doing just that. What’s more, you’ll also be rewarded with £217 or up to 10,000 miles of charging credit‡‡.

Peace of mind on the go
Perhaps the most significant anxiety that comes with EV ownership is the thought of getting delayed or stranded, unable to find a public charger. This is where the Power Promise really comes into its own.
Using your car’s navigation system in conjunction with Ford’s Blue Oval™ Charge Network, you can locate and pay for public charging at more than 800,000 charge points across Europe, including 36,000 in the UK.
And because each EV in Ford’s range has ultimate driver convenience hardwired into every feature, your in-car navigation will automatically incorporate charging stops into your journey and show live availability.

Generous warranties and roadside assistance
Ford understands that when you choose one of its EVs, you’re in for a good time and a long time. That’s why your car’s battery comes with a warranty that stretches up to eight years or 100,000 miles†† – whichever comes sooner. So, in the unlikely event your battery’s performance capacity falls below 70% within that time, you’re covered.
You’ll also benefit from five years of service and Ford Roadside Assistance**, which covers towing to the nearest charging station. As if that wasn’t enough of a safety net, Ford’s dedicated customer support team and the 24/7 Ford digital assistant are available for any further queries you might have, too.

Roomy it may be, but the Puma Gen-E was born to take on the city. If you need to get from A to B quickly, it can charge from 10-80% in just over 23 minutes using a 100kWh fast charger.
You can also choose up to four drive modes, with Eco Mode capable of a commendable 233 miles of range on a full charge†††. Plus, thanks to a sleek exterior design with 18-inch alloy wheels and signature LED headlights, you’ll look the part.
What’s more, the Puma Gen-E qualifies for a government Electric Car Grant of £3,750, so you'll chalk up another saving right there‡‡‡!
